I am a New Zealand-based artist inspired by the raw, untamed beauty of the South Island. Wild coastlines, rugged mountains, and untouched landscapes are at the heart of my work, where colour and atmosphere shape each piece.
My painting process is intuitive, allowing each work to evolve naturally on the canvas. I move fluidly between abstraction and realism, creating pieces that are expressive interpretations rather than literal representations. Vibrant colour and layered texture play a central role in my practice, helping to build depth, energy, and emotion.
Working across a range of mediums, I adapt my approach depending on the subject and desired effect. While my work spans different themes, I am currently focused on botanicals and landscapes.
Based in my Queenstown studio, I paint under both my own name and the persona “Folly,” which reflects a more experimental and playful side of my creative practice.
